Tips for a good profile:

Be original. If you steal from someone else's profile, it's likely that they'll get mad at you, and it shows that you have no creativity.
Show off your cats. Put all of your cats info, and include pictures. No one wants to see a boring profile!
Keep it orderly. Cats in one section, preferably the top, and fun stuff at the bottom.

How do I put a playlist on my profile?

Most of us know what a playlist is--a list of playable music that you can put on any page on wetpaint(at least). But a favorite place for them to be is on your profile. Unfortunately, lots of us don't know how to put one on their profile. Here is how in a few simple steps:

First, you go to playlist.com and make an account for free, just like wetpaint.
Second, you simply start searching for songs in the search tool bar provided on playlist.com. If you find a song you want on your playlist, there is a "+" button on the left corner of each song. Click that and it will add it to your playlist.
Keep doing that until you think that you have enough songs. Each playlist will hold at least a hundred songs on them, and if you happen to fill your first one, then just make another. Anyways, once you have enough songs, then look to the top right corner of playlist.com, and you will see a button that says "post my playlist!". Click that and it will ask you "where would you like to put your playlist?" Go to the bottom of the page and click selection "E". Then it wills how you a list of all your playlists, and there you decide which playlist you would want to post. Once you click the desired playlist name, it will allow you to customize your playlist. There is an option to "Autostart", so whenever someone comes onto your page the playlist will start automatically. Another option is "shuffle", where it doesn't play in the order you put the songs on. Then there is the options of either "custom skin" or just choosing a color on your playlist. If you do "custom skin", you will have to find a "jpg" image on the internet, and sometimes finding an image can be hard. Google usually has good images that work with the playlist's custom skin feature though. Simply choosing a color though, instead of custom skin, is much easier. This is all up to you, whatever you decide to do.
After you have decided all of that, click the "get code" button, and copy the code that it gives you. Then go to your profile, click easy edit, find the "widget" button and click that. It will give you a list of places that you may have gotten your widget from; scroll to the bottom of that and find the one that says "other widget". It will give you a box to place your code in, and just paste the code there. Then select "add widget", save your profile, and you're done! Sometimes the playlist will say "playlist is empty", but just refresh the page and it should be working correctly.

How do I put a picture on my profile?
To put a picture on your profile,click the "Photo" button on your toolbar in the upper-right corner,you will be presented with 4 options:
Photo Gallery have pictures other members have put on this site,you can browse among them and find pictures you want.
Upload New Photos is to upload your own pictures,either upload pictures (Must be JPG,JPEG or PNG) from your computer,or put in the URL for a picture.The picture will be added to the gallery if you are a writer+.
Add by searching is to search on either Bing or Yahoo directly through Wetpaint,type in a search term and browse though all the pictures there are.
Add slideshow is to,as the name suggest,add a slideshow on your profile.There are some pre-made ones made by others,or you have the option of taking all the pictures in the gallery and make it a slideshow,unfortunately, you cannot make your own one unless you are a writer+ [Confirmation needed]

{ M a k i n g T a b l e s} Tables can be very helpful and orderly in a profile. They can help keep pictures in order, and they can make paragraphs look neater. To make a plain table, click table button on your tool bar. Set the right amount of rows and columns and what style you want, then click OK. To change the color of your table, right click on the table cell you want to change the color in, then a little box should appear at the top and say "Edit table cell." Click that and at the top of the new box, it should say color. Click edit color and you should be able to choose what ever color you want your cell to be.

How do I put a link on my profile?
To put a link, click on Link in the toolbar, a box will pop up.
In the Enter the Text bar, type in what your link want to say, for example, here.
In the Link To bar, if you're linking to a page in this site, simply type in the page's name. If you're linking to something else, type in the COMPLETE URL for it like this.(This link goes to google)
If you already put down text, highlight the text you want to turn into a link and clink link, the Enter the Text bar will disappear if you already highlighted words.

Here are WFS's top profiles. Maybe you can get ideas from them, based on organization, characterization, and other stuff. We do ask that you don't take anything from their profiles. Their layouts, banners, characters, etc. are © to them, so don't take them!
