How to Join a Clan

X HOW TO JOIN A CLAN X

Okay, so you're thinking 'I've made my cat, I know how to roleplay, and my profile is totally decked out(Okay, maybe not.), but how do I join a Clan to play my new character??'

Simple! There are quite a few different ways to join a Clan!

However, you may want to check out the Clan's main page to find out which type of joining they want you to do!

Type 1: The Roleplay Join

This type of joining is fairly simple. You make a thread on the Clan's main page, introducing your character to the Clan. Here's an example:

'Thornstripe padded through the bushes in IvyClan's territory. He looked around nervously, hoping that the cats in this Clan weren't hostile.

"Hello?" He called. "Is anyone there?"

(But then don't forget to add your cat's description to this post!)

Thornstripe- A large, dark brown tabby tom with amber-colored eyes and a black stripe running down his back. He's a real gentle giant, and loves kits! ((RPed by Sammerio))"

Type 2: The Message

Usually, if the way to join a Clan is by message, there'll be a note on the page saying 'To join, please message the leader or deputy!' Or will have a list of people you can contact. Simply send that person a message, entitling something like 'Joining CreekClan!' and add your characters description within. Example:

"Fishpaw- A small, chocolate brown tabby tom with long whiskers and a strange, spazmatic personality. [RWN Fishwhisker] ((RPed by Sammerio))

(And of course it never hurts to say...)

Thanks!"

Type 3: The Joining Page

Many Clan leaders have turned to what we call a 'Joining Page.' Sometimes it's hard to sort out RP joins through all the normal RPs, and sometimes their inboxes get so full they accidentally skip or delete your joining message. The joining page can usually be found somewhere under the Clan page, entitled something like 'RockClan Joining Page.' A joining page acts pretty much like a message, except you post a thread instead of messaging. Example:

"Skunktail- A black and white tom-cat who likes to goof off and have fun. ((RPed by Sammerio))"

Be sure to title it either what the Joining page indicates, or something along the lines of 'RockClan Join!' or 'Skunktail(Or what ever your cat's name happens to be.)'

Some Things You Should Remember

-Look at the Clan's entire page to see what form of joining you should do.

-Make sure the name of your character isn't already being used. That could get confusing!

-Be sure to include your username every time! We know your username is seen when you post or message, but it's easier to copy your cat and paste it onto the page in one, quite, pain free motion. It's harder to copy, paste into a word document, then go back and copy your username and stick it to the cat's description. Also, if you're joining as a kit or apprentice, be sure to include their RWN(Reserved Warrior Name)!

-Never, ever, EVER bother the Clan leaders or deputies to add you! Sometimes they're busy and can't add you right away. If necessary, wait about a week then message someone who 'works' for that Clan.
-Don't put your joining threads everywhere on the site hoping a mod will see it. In fact, it'll most likely going to be ignored.
