Q: What is RPing, and how do I do it?
A: I've seen this question be asked a lot. RPing stands for Role playing. Role playing is where you post a thread where your cat interacts with other cats. First, you would make a cat, and join a clan, tribe, gang, or whatever. In the thread, you would write your subject (aka title) in the subject box. That way other cats know what your thread is mainly about, and that way they can decide if it sounds interesting or not. So be sure to be creative with your titles! Then you would click on the message box, and that's where you would type what your cat is doing. So, a thread could look something like this:
Subject: Shadowflame's hunting patrol
Message: Shadowflame sighed, slightly bored. So he decided to organize a small hunting patrol. Better to hunt in a group than alone, right? Shadowflame then bounded over to the warriors den, poking his head inside, mewing, "Hey, does anyone want to come on a hunting patrol with me?"
So, it would be something along those lines. Once you post a thread, you wait for someone to reply. check your watchlist often to see if anyone has replied yet. But you don't have to RP exactly like the example shown--you can Role play in whatever way you prefer. Different ways of RPing are always welcomed! Just remember to have fun!

Q: How do I make a cat?
A: Making a cat is very simple. It is all up to you and your imagination! You make up your own warrior name, preferably not one from the books - be creative. Then you can make up a description of your cat to go with it. If you want to go even further, you can add a personality to your cats description.
Ex -
Name:: Blacktongue
Description:: A sleek black tom-cat with deep amber eyes and a very pink nose.
Personality:: He has a sharp temper and is always ready to fight.
Alternatively, you can adopt a cat from the WFS Adoption Centre
Q: What is a thread and how do I post one?
A: A thread is a type of message that is left at the bottom of a page. You can post one on any page. This is also the way we RP our cats. To post them, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and there should be three text boxes: Subject, Message and Keyword Tags. Click there, type in the title for your thread, then type whatever you intended. Don't worry about Keyword Tags, as we do not use them.
Q: Which Clan should I join?
A: There are seven Clans including BloodGang. If you enjoy fishing and don't mind getting wet, CreekClan is the choice for you. DawnClan houses very loyal cats, and RP is high there. FlameClan is for the cats with real attitude; they are very spunky, yet quick in battle. IvyClan is perfect if you tend to be soft spoken, but are still strong to speak your opinion. LeafClan can be quite sarcastic, though born with their camouflage colored pelts, it is hard to spot them. RockClan are very creative cats. Their minds are very colorful, so if you are artisic, RockClan is the place for you. BloodGang are the bad guys of WFS. Their cats seek bloodshed, and their leader is one of the strongest cats alive. As you can see, we have many different options for you here at WFS. Or, if these Clans are not for you, you could always become a kittypet, loner or rogue.
**There are also the Seekers (under the Moonledge page), The Tribe of Whispering Winds, and Toiling Shadows (Under "Other Cats" and then "The City")
Q: How do I join a Clan?
A: To join a Clan, most of the leaders want you to message them with your characters name (preferably a warrior name and not Naruto or anything like that), their description, and their personality. It's also good to reserve their warrior name if they are a kit or apprentice. If you are not added it could be because your leader was busy and didn't have time yet, or they accidentally missed the message. Please don't get angry if this happens, the leaders are very busy and get lots of messages already. Try leaving a thread if you don't get added through a message, and someone will add you soon. Once you join a Clan, you can start RPing!
Also see the How to Join a Clan page
Q: How many cats can I play?
A: You can play as many as you want as long as they are kept active simply meaning that you cannot join, say, 19 cats, and only RP one of them. If you are going to play 19, all 19 of them must be active. You should RP only a few cats before you try many. If you just joined, I suggest you make one first!
Q: I've sent in a million Writer Requests! Why won't anyone answer me?
A: Our site doesn't really work like that, though it is not possible to disable that feature. We only make you a writer if you've been very active, and we think you deserve it. Begging won't be tolerated. You can post one everyday, and we will still not add you unless you RP a lot and the moderators decide to make you one.
Q: How do I get a mate?
A: One way you DON'T get a mate is by posting a thread saying "Any single she-cats/toms available?" To earn the trust of another gender cat is to interact with them through RP. Eventually, you can choose if you want to be mates or not. Or you can post a thread on the mates and kits page if you get impatient! If you see someone you want to be mates with, you can message them!
Q: What are the different "ranks" of the site?
A: Registered Users "RU's"- Registered Users are the body of the site. They can post threads and join discussions. They are the "body" of the site.
Writers- Writers can edit un-locked pages and post threads.
Moderators "Mods"- Moderators can post and delete threads, edit and delete all pages, and ban users.
Administrators "Admins"- Administrators can post threads as well as manage them (such as moving them to a different page or deleting them) , edit and delete all pages, ban users, and access all of the site settings.
Q: How can I become a writer+?
To be promoted to writer and above takes dedication and hard work. You are not noly picked based off of contributions, but by your personality and how well you can work with other members. Asking is one way not to be promoted. Moderators never promote if you ask. If you are active - and are noticed by the other moderators you may be suggested to be promoted.
